『正解するカド』12話(最終話)感想：救いは言野記者と犬束総理の”名演説”

おはようございます。今更ですが、最終回視聴しました。
いやー、前半の『いまだかつてないワクワク感』に対し、後半の『コレじゃない感』は凄まじいものがありましたね。
が、前半のメッセージをきちんと最後まで引っ張ってくれたキャラが2.5人(笑)だけいました。それは言野記者と犬束総理、そして品輪博士です。

言野記者と犬束総理の信念

製作者側の意図はどうあれ、前半でハマった人間にとって最終話のポイントはまさにコレでしょう↓

歌丸「言野さん。異方存在は僕たちをどうするつもりなんでしょう」
画美「異方存在が人類の敵だったとしたら、オレたちが報道してきたことは・・・・」
言野「聞け！　大事なのは良いか悪いかじゃない。オレたちが報道すべきものはただ一つ。事実だ！」

犬束「全てが失われたわけではありません。我々には最も大きなものが一つだけ残されました。それは、異方が存在するという事実です。私たちは知りました。異方という高次元世界の存在を。我々の前に広がる進歩のフロンティアを。ならば今度は人類が自らの足で、ヤハクィザシュニナに会いに行こうではありませんか」

彼らは、新たな事実の認識が、既存の価値観や社会の仕組みを変えるということをよく理解しています。そしてその方向性を決めるのは、『情報を独占する力を持っている既得権益集団』ではなく、個々人であるべきと考えているようです。
事実、言野は「これを伝えたら、愚民はどんな行動に出るかわからない」だの、「情報くれる官僚や、金出してくれるスポンサー企業には気を遣って黙っていよう」などと考えて、『報道しない権利』を行使したりしません。。
犬束は言野とは違って政治家ですから、勿論「こうすべき」という意見はしっかりと発信しますが、同時に常に事実を国民に伝えようとしています。

ワムの製造法をネットで全世界に発信した一件は、エスタブリッシュメント層にとっては、信じがたい”暴挙”でしょう。しかし本来、民主主義というのは完全な情報公開と、”勉強しようとする国民”がいて成り立つ制度。
勿論、国民を騙してでも国益に適う行動を取らなければならないという場面はありますし、のんびりと国民の意見を聞いている場合ではないという状況もある。敵を欺くには味方からという場面だってあります。しかし、理想は理想として追求し、それではどうにもならない場面でのみ臨機応変に対処すべきでしょう。そして、事が済んだ後は全てを公開すべきです。また、国民も、そうした情報に対し、冷静で責任ある判断を下す必要があります。
言野と犬束は一見型破りですが、こういう民主主義国家の構成員またはリーダーとして、極めてまっとうな行動を取っています。

品輪博士が無自覚にもたらしたもの

ちなみに、好奇心に従って行動し、遂に異方にまで行ってしまった品輪博士も、無自覚で彼らと同じような行動を取っています。
彼女は技術自体が良いとも悪いとも考えない。ただ面白いから追究するのです。
彼女が作り出したものを受け入れるか否か、何に使うかについては、使う人々が自分の頭で考えればいい。拙いものなら勝手に規制がかかります。重要なのは、その技術について分かっていることすべてが、危険性も含めて正しく伝えられることでしょう。そうすることで、初めて人々は正しい選択が出来る。
世間には「オッペンハイマーは科学者として責任ある行動をし、テラーはそうではなかった」とする風潮がありますが、それはちょっと違うように思います。テラーの拙かったところは、”反省もせずに”水爆製造に突き進んだことではなく、その後、政府高官との個人的な繋がりをもとに、デメリットは隠したまま水爆利用の無理な計画を推し進めようとしたこと――――つまりは、科学者としてではなく、政治屋としての態度だったと思うのです。
一方、品輪博士は真に純粋な科学者です。彼女は自分が知りえたことをバンバン垂れ流すことによって、言野と同じような恩恵を人類に与えていると言えなくもありません。

なぜ『ユノクル』と価値創造型交渉は物語の主役の座から滑り落ちたのか

一方、主要キャラの三人。
正直、この作品が当初発していたメッセージとは、かけ離れたところに行ってしまったように見えます。

前半、ヤハクィザシュニナが語ったことで、最も印象に残っているのは、『ユノクル』の話です。
「なぜあなたは日本に？」と訊かれた彼は、「この区域は『ユノクル』が安定している」からだと答えます。
「余剰のものを分ける。その精神のベクトルをこそ『ユノクル』と呼ぶ。この区域は”パンを分けられる人間”が多い。だから私はこの区の代表と交信することが最高効率だと判断した」と。
この場面をモニタ越しに見ていた官房長官は言います。
「人間、余裕があれば誰しもそうします。だが現実はそうではない。パンは有限だからです」
まるでこれが聞こえていたかのようにヤハクィザシュニナは『ワム』を見せ、「ワムはあなた方に食べきれないほどのパンを与える」そして、自分は世界を推進するためにこの宇宙に来たと告げるのです。

これを聞いた視聴者は皆、これが作品全体を貫く重要なテーマだと思ったでしょう。これから見せられる物語は『理解の深化による人類社会の変革』について語るものだと。
そして、そこに本格的に踏み出すか否かはきっと、(『人類の言葉で表現する』という制約はありつつも)可能な限り完全な情報を与えられた個々人の判断に委ねられるのだろうと予想します。少なくとも、言野記者や総理はそういうメッセージを発していたからです。

真道と沙羅花はなぜ旧来のエスタブリッシュメント層の発想から抜け出せなかったのか

しかし、真道幸路朗と徭沙羅花の思考パターンは、「愚民には正しい判断などできない」と考えるエスタブリッシュメント層そのものでした。
「高確率で死ぬだろうし、成功しても自分は違うものに変化してしまうだろうけれど、それでも異方の情報に触れてみたい」という一部の人々の望みは完全に無視。
「この選択こそが人類を幸せに導くんです！」と勝手に決めてかかり、そのために我が子や同僚でさえ道具のごとく扱います。
これに対するヤハクィザシュニナも、「あなたの語った『ユノクル』とはいったい何だったのか？」と訊きたくなるような言動の連続。
そして真道がきっちり殺されてしまってから、ご都合主義の最終兵器登場。
物語の冒頭で真道が語った、交渉とはかくあるべきという話も完全にどこかに吹っ飛んでいました。
いや、もうね・・・という(笑)

だいたい、異方存在と地球の生物が子供作って最終兵器になるなら、沙羅花はこれまでにもう何人も高次元の存在を生み出している筈ですよ。
「真道が特殊な存在だった」という言い訳で押すなら、なぜそういう特殊な存在が生まれたのかという説明は必要だと思うんですが、それもない。(そもそも、真道の『特別』設定は、ヤハクィザシュニナの認知バイアスにしか見えません(笑))

人類は課題解決と進歩のチャンスを失い、全ては元通りに・・・

そして、カドの消失と同時に異方がもたらした三種の神器も消え失せ、人々は「この新しい環境と感覚に、いかに対応するか」という課題からとりあえず逃げられることになってしまいました。
犬束総理は、得たものはあると言っていましたが、人々の現状維持を望む無意識の声は極めて強い。生き物というのは本当に必要に迫られなければ動かないものです。異方の感覚が残り続けた場合に対して、苦労しない分、人類の成長は格段に小さなものになるでしょう。
重要なのは道具そのものではなく理解のようなので、「すぐに第二第三の品輪博士が出てきて、刺激をくれるさ」と思いたいのですが、品輪博士の天才っぷりが桁違いなだけにどうも悲観的な気分に・・・。（品輪博士、「ちょっと行ってきます」とか言いながら、千年ぐらい帰ってこないような気がするし）
あらゆる意味で、「そりゃないぜ」という気分にさせられた最終回でした。

余談：勘違い視聴者(自分)が勝手に妄想していた結末

ちなみに、個人的にどういう結末を妄想していたかというと、
「異方の感覚と技術を積極的に受け入れようとする人達と、それに断固反対する人達が争いを起こす」
「真道は、異方に関わることの利害を正直に人類に伝えながら、この人類二派と異方存在二派がWin-Winだと思える解決策を模索するが、その道半ばで、闘争手段として異方の力を使う”反異方派”に殺されかかる」
「それをうっかりヤハクィザシュニナが身を挺して止めてしまい、この世界における体を失う。自分の不可解な行動に『ユノクル』とは違う何かを悟ったヤハクィザシュニナは、これで当初の目的の一部は達成されたと考え、体の消失とともに変換装置としてのカドも消す」
「人類には異方の感覚と、異方の三種の神器が残される。ヤハクィザシュニナを勝手に強大な後ろ盾だと考えていた異方許容派は、反対派と真面目に話し合う気になる。カオスの中から、なんとなく新しい社会の仕組みが生まれる気配が――――というところで物語は終了。『意識とは何か』『意識はなぜ生まれたのか』『ユノクルや、ヤハクィザシュニナがこの宇宙で体得したそれとは似て非なる意識のベクトルは、本当は”私と貴方が別のものではない”ところから発しているのではないか』等々の謎は将来に持ち越し」
というものでした。

ヤハクィザシュニナは最初、自分が何をやったか理解できないんですが、沙羅花に「あなたにはもう分かってるはずよ。初めて気が合ったわね」とか何とか言われて、「イやな女だな」と清々しく笑いながら消えるというオチ(笑)
「自分たちは本当は飢えてなどいない」と知った人類と、この宇宙の感覚を直に得たことで、「飢えていないことや、自分という存在に終わりがないことが『与えること』の必要条件ではない」と知った異方存在。「Win-Winじゃないッスか」と。

ヤハクィザシュニナのキャラが明らかになってきて「それはないな」と気付いてからも、真道には「とりあえず強制的に異方に連れて行くのはオレだけにしておけ。お前は『一人だけでもいい』と言っただろう」と言って欲しかった。これは、彼の好奇心が満たされるという意味で、一方的に彼に犠牲を強いる提案ではないわけで、最良ではないけれどそう悪くはない結末だと思うんです。

しかし、実際の結末はアレだったわけで・・・・うーん、この騙された感をいかにすべきか(笑)

でもまあ良かったところもありました

とはいえ、『昔SF読んで胸躍らせた世代が、超弦理論等の新しいネタを得た世界で期待するもの』を、前半戦だけでも見せてくれた点は感謝しています。(後に続く作品が出てくるかもしれないという意味で)
えげつない国連の姿を赤裸々に描いたのも新しかった。
そして、何より最後に言野記者と犬束総理の名演説を聞けて良かった。
犬束は、見た目はただの小渕恵三(笑)なわけですが、民主主義国家における政治家の理想形を見せてくれたように思います。
そして言野の台詞は、ぜひとも朝日新聞はじめ、既存メディアの記者に聞かせてやりたい(笑)。

で、この激しい路線変更の理由は？

それにしても、前半と後半のこのギャップは本当に謎ですね。
のっけから『既存メディア＆欲望を原動力とする資本主義全否定』で来たから、さる方面から圧力がかかったりしちゃったんでしょうか(笑)
